Drang Waterfall: The Frozen Wonder of Tangmarg

DRANG WATERFALL

"Kasmir’s Ice Queen of the North"

Located just 3 KM from Tangmarg (on the way to Gulmarg), Drang Waterfall is a hidden marvel that has recently taken the world by storm. Fed by the crystal-clear Ferozepur Nallah, this spot transforms dramatically with the seasons, offering a completely different soul in summer and winter.

The Winter Magic (Jan - Feb)

In the peak of winter, the waterfall **completely freezes**, creating a curtain of giant, glassy icicles that hang off the jagged rocks. Surrounded by deep snow and the misty spray of the stream below, it feels like standing inside a fairytale. It is widely considered the most beautiful frozen waterfall in Kashmir.

Summer & Adventure

In the warmer months, the ice vanishes, and Drang becomes a lush, green sanctuary where the water gushes with immense power. It is a prime spot for:

🚜 ATV Rides: Take a thrilling 3km ATV ride from Tangmarg through the pine forests to reach the falls.
☕ Riverside Tea: Small local shacks serve piping hot Kashmiri Kahwa and snacks right at the base of the waterfall.
