Located just 3 KM from Tangmarg (on the way to Gulmarg), Drang Waterfall is a hidden marvel that has recently taken the world by storm. Fed by the crystal-clear Ferozepur Nallah, this spot transforms dramatically with the seasons, offering a completely different soul in summer and winter.

❄️ The Winter Magic (Jan - Feb)

In the peak of winter, the waterfall completely freezes, creating a curtain of giant, glassy icicles that hang off the jagged rocks. Surrounded by deep snow and the misty spray of the stream below, it feels like standing inside a fairytale. It is widely considered the most beautiful frozen waterfall in Kashmir.

In the warmer months, the ice vanishes, and Drang becomes a lush, green sanctuary where the water gushes with immense power. It is a prime spot for:

Take a thrilling 3km ATV ride from Tangmarg through the pine forests to reach the falls.

Small local shacks serve piping hot Kashmiri Kahwa and snacks right at the base of the waterfall.

🚗 Access: In winter, taxis often stop at Tangmarg. You can hire a local 4x4 cab, an ATV, or enjoy a 30-minute snowy walk to the falls.

👟 Travel Tip: The ground is extremely slippery in winter. Renting gumboots at Tangmarg for ₹50-100 is highly recommended!
