📜 Photography Etiquette

Kasmir is deeply rooted in tradition. To ensure you photograph responsibly:

  • Ask First: Always ask for permission before taking close-up portraits of locals, especially women and children.
  • Shrines: Photography is often prohibited inside the inner sanctums of shrines (Dargahs) and mosques. Respect the signs.
  • Drones: Drone laws are very strict in Kashmir due to security reasons. Always check for local permits before flying.

✨ Secret Tip: The "Harud" Glow

Visit in late October (Autumn) to photograph the "Golden Glow" of the Chinar trees. The red and orange leaves create a natural filter that no app can replicate!
